This video shall give a brief overview of what can be achieved by using software developed by the Saxonian Institute of Surface Mechanics (SIO) on the example of a simulated multiple impact scenario hitting the wall of an atomic fusion device.
Therby, the software “Fimldoctor”, “IStress” and “Uncertainty Budget Calculator” have been used to calculate stress fields, simulate intrinsic stresses and visualize the results in 3D animations.
